On a slow boat to Shea.

Thirty years to the day after the Miracle Mets sealed their victory over the

Baltimore Orioles in the 1969 World Series, the Metropolitans faced the

Altanta Braves in Game Four of the 1999 Championship Series at Shea

Stadium. The Braves had won three straight games, two in Atlanta

and one in New York City, and needed but a single victory to advance

to the World Series. By Number 7 subway and New York Waterways

Ferry (above) the Mets faithful made their way to Flushing, Queens.
