The White Horse Tavern

The White Horse Tavern is a Greenwich Village institution.

It is best know as the infamous establishment at which poet

Dylan Thomas drank himself to death, collapsing just outside

the front door. The drunken poet legend, however, is mistaken;

Thomas had diabetes, which was misdiagnosed; it seems lilely

that his condition, as much his drinking, led to his death.
