The various groups then file into the theater after a quick pep talk

('Your energy and enthusiasm are important to Dave') and take

their seats. Now, a friend of Libby's worked as page for the Late

Show last year, and passed along this interesting tidbit: the show

is adamant about filling the front rows with attractive people. When

especially good-looking audience members drop by to pick up their

tickets, sharp-eyed staffers hand them a special piece of paper, asking

them to come back at a specified time and meet in a special line,

after which they're led right down front. I was seated (as the

photo above suggests) in the very back row. The reader is

left to draw his or her own conclusions.
