When Tom Geary and Lynn Mire declared their intention

to have their wedding in New Orleans -- a wholly owned

subsidiary of the Anne Rice Vampire Novel Holding Company--

I was delighted. First of all for them, of course. Absolutely.

But it also meant the chance to down a Hurricane. For years

I'd been hearing that you can get a drink in New Orleans and

drink it right out on the street. The photo above is submitted

as corroborating evidence, as I suck down an icy rum drink

just steps away from the local gendarme. A Hurricane, by

the way, is almost exactly the color of my shirt.

Tip: Create the New Orleans experience for yourself

at home! Pour a tot of Captain Morgan into a Slurpee,

then stagger down the sidewalk hugging strangers until

somebody belts you. Repeat until jailed.
