Over the July 25th Weekend, the Gotham Cup

was held across the East River at the Meadowlands in

New Jersey. Four world-class soccer clubs challenged

r for the crystal Gotham Cup trophy. Well, okay, three

world-class teams and Aston Villa. (Note:This last

sentiment is mere spolied brattery from a Middlesbrough

fan; Aston Villa finished ahead of the 'Boro

in the Premiership table this past season.)
